UEC seeks a mid-level Manufacturing Engineer II to provide manufacturing system/process and technical support to the organization.

Primary Duties include:
• Designs, implements and streamlines of manufacturing processes, equipment, and procedures

Senior Oil Tool Design Engineer, Texas

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

The primary focus of this position will be design review and improvement of existing products as well as developing new concepts and ideas for future products. 

 

Skills and Abilities:


They will have to be familiar with rod pumps and their design and applications

This person will be familiar with API 11AX spec for rod pump parts.

This individual to be able to possibly prepare and present papers for various industry training schools such as the petroleum short courses given in conjunction with Texas universities.

This individual to be able to advise and direct the efforts of our existing engineering group. 


 

Required Education and Experience:


Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering

15 to 20 years of oil tool design experience focusing primarily on down-hole pump parts design.  

AutoCAD 3D modeling software, Algor simulation, FEA packages and metallographic interpretation.

To be considered for this role:


You must have a four year engineering degree (ME, EE, CE or CS) and a minimum of 3 years of field sales experience selling a highly technical product and knowledge of distributor networks.

You must have experience dealing with OEM customers, consulting engineers, large consumer accounts and other prospects.  You also must be a road warrior – available to travel up to 75%.


Sales:  You will use your demonstrated background to represent the company’s highly technical instrumentation and controls products to a variety of customers in the prescribed territory as well as develop the distributor network throughout the region.

Knowledge of diesel engine combustion and performance, 2- 3 years experience in engine performance development, Strong technical aptitude in resolving technical issues, Ability to work independently to complete projects. M-F first shift position. Business casual dress code.
